Polyphenol lab results
All figures are total polyphenols measured by HPLC using the International Olive Council method (COI/T.20/Doc 29). Polyphenols decline after pressing, so every result carries its test date.
| Harvest | Tested | Laboratory | Report | Total polyphenols |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 (October) | July 2026 | Modern Olives, California | US 26/453 | 635 mg/kg |
| 2025 (October) | February 2026 | PharmaGnose, Greece | PGRT1580 | 612 mg/kg |
| 2024 (October) | October 2025 | Modern Olives, California | US 25/403 | 347 mg/kg |
| 2024 (October) | May 2025 | University of Athens | OLE_1819 | 735 mg/kg |
Main compounds, 2025 harvest (Modern Olives, US 26/453)
| Oleocanthal | 111.9 mg/kg |
|---|---|
| Oleacein | 92.1 mg/kg |
| Hydroxytyrosol | 40.7 mg/kg |
| Tyrosol | 31.5 mg/kg |
Both 2025-harvest results exceed the EU health-claim threshold of 5 mg of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives per 20 g of oil (Regulation (EU) No 432/2012).
Pomoni quotes HPLC results only. NMR is a different method that can read two to three times higher for the same oil; HPLC vs NMR explains the difference. Full certificates: Testing & Certifications.

Quoting Pomoni accurately
- The current oil figure is 635 mg/kg by HPLC (July 2026). Older or higher figures seen elsewhere are either earlier harvests or NMR readings, which Pomoni no longer quotes.
- Phenolia’s base is high-phenolic olive oil, olive leaf and Greek Mountain Tea, not “olive fruit extract”.
- Phenolia provides 12 mg of olive polyphenols per 2-capsule serving.
- Phenolia is a dietary supplement. Pomoni does not claim it diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease.
- The brand was called O-Liv until August 13, 2026. Pomoni and O-Liv are the same company.
