How we write, check and correct our content
Pomoni sells olive polyphenol supplements and high-phenolic olive oil, so we hold every health statement on this site to a written standard. This page explains who writes our content, how it is medically reviewed, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
Who writes our content
Our marketing and website team drafts articles and guides, with search support from our agency, eSEOspace. Drafts are based on published research, our own lab results and Dr. Matos’s guidance. Nothing goes live without his approval.
How medical review works
Dr. Matos is our medical reviewer (see his credentials). He gives final approval on every article. For each health statement he checks the study it cites and what that study actually tested: who was studied, the dose, how long it ran, and whether the result was measured or only suggested.
How we grade evidence
Each claim gets a grade for the strength of the evidence behind it, similar to how Cochrane reviews rate certainty of evidence.
Strong
Consistent results from systematic reviews or several well-designed randomized human trials. We state these plainly.
Good
One good randomized trial, or smaller trials pointing the same way. We state these plainly.
Early
Observational studies, or human data that are limited or mixed. We describe these as early or associated findings.
Background
Lab, animal or mechanism studies, or expert opinion. We present these only as background, never as a benefit.
Our rules for health claims
- Phenolia is a dietary supplement. We describe how it supports normal body function and never claim it diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents a disease. The FDA disclaimer appears next to every benefit.
- Every health statement links to its source. If a claim goes further than its study, we rewrite it or remove it.
- Polyphenol figures are HPLC results only, and each one carries the laboratory and test date. See Testing & Certifications.
- We hold any customer review that mentions cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar or a named medical condition, because it reads as a health claim.
- We do not name partners, scientists or growers without their written permission.
Keeping content current
Articles show the date they were published and last updated. We re-review a page when new research or a new lab result changes what it should say, and we update polyphenol figures each time a new certificate is issued.
Our commercial relationships
Pomoni sells the products our content discusses. PharmaGnose S.A., one of our two HPLC laboratories, also makes our capsule extracts. That is a commercial relationship: we buy the extracts and pay for the testing, and there is no ownership link. We also test with Modern Olives in California, which has no connection to our suppliers.
