What’s in Phenolia

Phenolia capsules contain three Greek plant ingredients: powdered high-phenolic olive oil, olive leaf extract and Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis scardica). Phenolia Recovery adds Greek beetroot extract. A 2-capsule serving provides 12 mg of olive polyphenols, calculated from the extract’s certificate of analysis. This guide explains what each ingredient is, why it is there, how it is made and tested, and what we can and cannot tell you about it.

What we don’t claim

  • We do not publish the milligram amount of each ingredient per capsule, the extract ratios or the oleuropein content. The verified figure is the polyphenol total: 12 mg per serving.
  • Many olive leaf and Sideritis studies used doses far higher than a Phenolia serving, so their results cannot be applied to Phenolia directly. Each ingredient guide says which studies used which dose.
  • Phenolia is a dietary supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Phenolia Daily Phenolia Recovery

Questions

What are the ingredients in Phenolia?

Phenolia Daily contains powdered high-phenolic olive oil, olive leaf extract and Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis scardica), all extracted in Greece, in a plant-based capsule. Phenolia Recovery contains the same three plus Greek beetroot extract.

How many polyphenols are in Phenolia?

12 mg of olive polyphenols per 2-capsule serving (6 mg per capsule), calculated from the extract’s certificate of analysis. HPLC testing of the finished capsules is under way.

Is Phenolia the same as drinking olive oil?

No. A serving gives about the polyphenols in 1.5 tablespoons (20 g) of a 600 mg/kg oil, in a capsule, together with olive leaf and Greek Mountain Tea extracts. Oil brings flavor and monounsaturated fat to your food, which a capsule does not. Many people use both.

Is Phenolia certified for sport?

Not yet. Phenolia is being screened for banned substances by LGC, but final approval has not been issued, so we do not describe it as certified.

Who should check with a doctor before taking Phenolia?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, takes prescription medication (especially for blood pressure or blood sugar), or has a medical condition should ask their doctor first.
