By The Pomoni Kitchen · Jump to recipe ·
This takes three minutes if you have boiled eggs in the fridge. If not, allow about 12 minutes for the egg to hard-boil.
Method
- If you need to, hard-boil the egg (about 12 minutes), then cool it in an ice bath so it peels more easily.
- Lightly toast the bread while the egg boils. Give it a second to breathe, then pour the olive oil over it so it reaches everywhere.
- Peel and slice the egg and cover the whole surface of the bread with the slices.
- Finish with a teeny-tiny pinch of salt on the egg.
Kitchen notes
Boil a few eggs at once and keep them in the fridge for up to a week. It makes this a three-minute snack any day.
